NightSky is described as an ambient action-puzzle and it's developed and published by a small studio called Nicalis. The developer have just released the native Linux version along with their latest patch.

NightSky has been very well received by the community and the game has been around for quite some time, since 2011. It looks like the devs finally managed to get the Linux native version released and it also comes with a hefty discount, thanks to the latest Steam Summer Sale.

"The player must manoeuvre a sphere by using realistic physics to advance; each of these worlds is broken into different areas. The original soundtrack by experimental jazz musician, Chris Schlarb will further heighten the surreal experience," is noted on Steam.

The latest update for NightSky brought a new game engine, which now works on Linux and Mac OS X as well, a new Bloom effect, Steam achievements, adjustable image quality, multi-monitor support, and better full-screen handling.

The Linux system requirements for NightSky are pretty low. Users will need at least an Intel Atom processor, 512MB of RAM, a graphics card, and 100MB of HDD space. It's also worth mentioning that NightSky is now available on Steam for Linux with an 80% discount that will end on June 22.
