14 DAY TRIAL // After two years of hard work, the development team behind SliTaz, an open source and minimalistic Linux distribution built from scratch, has announced that a new development (cooking) release is now ready for testing.
As Christophe Lincoln writes in the blog announcement, this version has an incredible changelog, as it improves all of their homemade tools, adds various new utilities, such as decode and frugal, improves the configuration of the Linux kernel 3.2.53 used in the distribution, and provides a finer user experience.
Better hardware support, new functions, updates to all existing packages, as well as numerous new packages, an improved installer that now features a Ncurses/text front-end, and a better Live CD image are also part of this unstable release of the upcoming SliTaz 5.0 Linux distro.
