Google Chrome, a browser built on the WebKit layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 27.0.1444.3.

The dev version of Google Chrome is now out for Linux users, fixing a few annoying bugs and other crashes.

Highlights of Google Chrome 27.0.1444.3:

• The browser no longer crashes when the user is playing the Bejeweled game; • The black menu now appears on google.com; • Unused Notifications have been removed; • The escape key now closes full-screen video; • Two-factor signin has been fixed.

UPDATE: A mistake has been made regarding a couple of fixes listed above. The Bejeweled crash was repaired and the fix will be implemented in the next version.

The black menu issues reported by the users will not be fixed. Google has been experimenting with various features, so the missing black menu will return in the future, in one form or another.

A complete list of bug fixes and changes can be found in the official changelog. Download Google Chrome 27.0.1444.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
