The Development branch of Google Chrome, a browser built on the Blink layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 39.0.2145.4.

The latest Dev version of Google Chrome has been made available for all the supported platforms and comes with a moderate number of changes and improvements.

According to the developers, an option to output Chart JSON summary has been added, the warning banner for local disk shortage has been moved to the upper side, the V8 engine has been updated, the Blink engine has been upgraded, the XMPP implementation in JavaScript has been completed, the start page button has been removed, the App-list history has been cleaned, and the File System Provider API has been implemented on the dev channel.

The Google Chrome developers only provide two kinds of binary files, deb and rpm, and no source. If you are not using a Linux distribution capable of reading this type of files, you will have to wait until it hits your repositories.

Usually, a complete list of changes can be found on the official website.
