Google Chrome, a browser built on the Blink layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 30.0.1599.114.

The developers have issued the first update for the new 30.x branch of Google Chrome, but it's only available for the Linux platform. They've chosen once again to separate the Linux version from the other platforms, but most likely they'll be reunited in the future.

It seems that the only reason for this decision has to do with the installation of the 32-bit version, which failed on certain systems. This latest update takes care of this problem, but it also meant that Linux users would get their own version.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Download Google Chrome 30.0.1599.114 for Linux right now from Softpedia.
