NetworkManager, a program that works as network connection manager for most RPM and Debian-based distributions, is now at version 0.9.8.6.

NetworkManager 0.9.8.6 is now a stable release, but the developers have only incorporated on single change, albeit a very important one.

“The software supports BlueZ 5. If you are still using BlueZ 4, configure with --enable-bluez4 to disable BlueZ 5 support and enable BlueZ 4 support. (It is not possible to build with support for both versions.)” reads the official changelog.

As the numbering of NetworkManager suggests, the 1.0 version is not very far, but the developers will still need to go through a few more releases in order to get to it.

Check out the official changelog for a complete list of new features and updates. Download NetworkManager 0.9.8.6 right now from Softpedia.
