Netrunner 13.06 Beta, a GNU/Linux distribution based on Kubuntu 13.04, featuring KDE as the default desktop environment, and integrating many GNOME/GTK+ programs to make it Ubuntu compatible, has been released.
The Netrunner 13.06 Beta distribution is based on Kubuntu, Ubuntu, and Debian core. The end result is a distribution that's very similar to a Windows environment and which differs entirely from its inspiration.
Highlights of Netrunner 13.06 Beta:
• A new boot animation and a new LightDM Login Screen have been implemented; • A new KWin Aurorae3 Theme Engine has been put to good use; • The Oxygen theme has been updated with KDE 4.10; • The Homerun Launcher has been implemented; • KDE Panel offers some of the most flexible layout options; • Folderview is the default desktop-containment in Netrunner.
