Netrunner 12.12, a GNU/Linux distribution based on Kubuntu, featuring KDE as the default desktop environment, and integrating many GNOME/GTK+ programs to make it Ubuntu compatible, has been released today, December 22.

Netrunner 12.12 comes with mostly updates, but some of them are quite important, as we can see below:

• The distribution is built on Kubuntu 12.10; • GNU/Linux OS kernel was updated to version 3.5; • KDE was updated to version 4.9.3; • Mozilla Firefox was updated to version 17 (+KDE integration); • Mozilla Thunderbird was updated to version 17; • LibreOffice was updated to version 3.6.2; • Runners-ID (free and libre cloud storage + music streaming) is now available; • Gimp was updated to version 2.8.
