NetBSD, a free, fast, secure, and highly portable Unix-like Open Source OS available for a wide range of platforms, from large-scale servers and desktop systems to handheld and embedded devices, is now at version 6.0 Beta 2.

NetBSD 6.0 Beta 2 is now available for testing and, according to the developers, this will be the last Beta to be offered.

Highlights of NetBSD 6.0 Beta 2:

• The ability to configure RAIDframe components on raw disks has been added; • Prevent sshd from consuming all available entropy; • A x86k boot problem has been fixed; • Several OpenSSL fixes have been implemented; • tgamma() and tgammaf() have been added to libm; • New sysinst post-install config menu was added; • Detaching ehci has been fixed.

A complete list of the changes can be found in the official announcement. Download NetBSD 6.0 Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
