Mythbuntu is a community-supported add-on for Ubuntu focused on setting up a standalone MythTV-based PVR system, which can be used to prepare a standalone system or to integrate it with an existing MythTV network. Highlights of Mythbuntu 12.04.3:
• The standard Ubuntu updates have been integrated; • The distribution has been updated to MythTV 0.25.2, which fixes a lot of bugs that have been found after the initial release; • According to the developers, the installer will no longer wipe databases for MySQL and MythTV during the installation if the user is doing an "in place" upgrade; • Linux kernel has been updated to Linux kernel 3.8.
