The GNOME developers unveiled the second development release of the upcoming Mutter Wayland 3.12 application, the Wayland port of the original Mutter package, a heavy duty replacement for the Metacity window manager on the GNOME desktop environment

Mutter Wayland 3.11.2 supports setting a NULL opaque region, synchronizes the keymap from X.Org to Wayland, implements support for subsurfaces, and supports the "hotplug_mode_update" property.

Moreover, the no-focus-window function is no longer focused on globally active windows, the resize operations have been fixed for mouse-button-modifier, the position of attached modals for CSD windows has been fixed, and various other annoying bugs have been squashed. For more details, please take a look at the official raw changelog. Download Mutter Wayland 3.11.2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
