Now that the first development version towards Mutter 3.12 has been announced, its Wayland port has also been released for testing, a version that fixes bugs and adds a few improvements.

Just like the original version of Mutter, the Mutter Wayland 3.11.1 package uses the new UPower API, thanks to Bastien Nocera. Moreover, this development release fixe tile previews that were stuck when right clicking during drags, the Fn keys can now be used to step up/down brightness, and a hotspot can now be set when the mouse cursor buffer is set from wl_buffer.

Also, thanks to Jasper St. Pierre, Olav Vitters and Magdalen Berns, miscellaneous bug fixes and cleanups were applied to this first development release of Mutter Wayland 3.12, which will be part of the upcoming GNOME 3.12 desktop environment. More details can be found in the official raw changelog. Download Mutter Wayland 3.11.1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
