Robert Shingledecker announced the immediate availability for download of the Tiny Core 4.7.7 Linux operating system.
Tiny Core is a distribution that is highly modular and which makes use of with community-built extensions. Its ultimate goal is to create an operating system that is both easy to use and very small.
The latest version of Tiny Core Linux, 4.7.7, is just a simple maintenance release, and only a few of updates have been implemented.
Highlights of Tiny Core Linux 4.7.7:
• The tc-terminal-server has been updated in order to remove the offending option; • The “select” function has been updated in order to bypass a menu of only 1 item; • .profile and .ashrc have been updated to handle EDITOR env variable, in both CLI and X; • tc-functions has been updated.
