Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, a game developed by Monolith and ported by Feral Interactive for the Linux platform, is now showing in the Steam library, and it might be launched soon.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is one of the high-profile games that is scheduled to land on the Linux platform soon. The fact that Feral is porting the game was revealed a while ago, and the studio has even teased the fact that something interesting is going to happen soon and that Linux users should be ready.

The fact that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is now showing up in the Steam for Linux library shouldn't be a too strong indicator that the game is about to launch. Sometimes it can take months between the listing in the library and the actual launch, but the publisher is preparing to release the Game of the Year Edition for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor on May 5, which would be a great day to also make the Linux version available as well.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor  GOTY includes all the DLC packages that have been added until now, including The Bright Lord, Lord of the Hunt, and all the smaller ones. There is no official information regarding the Linux release, but we can only hope.
