The developers from 4A Games have officially confirmed that they are working on it

Metro: Last Light, a superb FPS developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver, has been confirmed for the Linux platform by the developers.

In case you don't know anything about this game, this is the rundown. Metro: Last Light is the sequel to Metro 2033, an FPS survival horror game launched a few years ago, and it makes use of the best and newest technologies available for the engine.

“The Mac and Linux versions of Metro: Last Light are further testimony to the power and flexibility of the 4A Engine.”

“Development was handled in house by 4A games, and we are very happy with the results. We hope that Mac & Linux gamers will appreciate our efforts to create the best possible version for their machines,” said Oles Shishkovstov, chief technical officer at 4A Games.

With this date in mind, the Linux users are waiting for the system requirements and for more details about the compromises made on the OpenGL version of the game.
