Do not use the workaround posted on the Manjaro website

A few days ago, Manjaro Linux developer Philip Müller informed all Manjaro users that the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate of their manjaro.org website where the Wiki and Forum of the project are hosted has expired and that they forgot to update it in time to not create any accessibility issues.

Unfortunately, the Manjaro Linux Wiki and Forum are not accessible to all users at the time of writing this article. Depending on the web browser used, you might be informed that the connection is not secure, yet still accessible (Mozilla Firefox), or that the connection is not private, thus not accessible (Google Chrome).

"Seems we forgot to update our SSL certificate in time. This means our wiki and forum is not reachable for now. We will work on the matter as soon as possible. In time, please use followed workaround," says Philip Müller. "This will set back your system time to Mo 6. Apr 00:00:03 CEST 2015."

Well, the fact of the matter is that the workaround posted by Philip Müller on the respective announcement is NOT recommended at all. In fact, many Manjaro users are resolved by the "workaround" that is supposed to give them access to the Wiki and Forum of Manjaro Linux on a secure connection. Let's hope that the issue will be resolved quickly, because there are a lot of angry users out there and they started questioning the abilities of the Manjaro developers.
