Lubuntu 13.10 Alpha 2 (Saucy Salamander) has been officially released and it features quite a few new items.
Canonical has announced the release of the second Alpha version for its upcoming Ubuntu Linux operating system, including Lubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander).
Highlights of Lubuntu 13.10 Alpha 2 (Saucy Salamander):
• The Chromium browser has been replaced by Firefox; • The XScreensaver has been removed; • ZRam has been added in order to enable the desktop installer to work on lower RAM machines; • The Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.10.0.5.14.
