Lubuntu 13.10 Alpha 1 (Saucy Salamander) has been available for a few days and now you get to see, with the help of a small screenshot tour, how things have improved since Lubuntu 13.04.

Canonical has announced the release of the first Alpha version for its upcoming Ubuntu Linux operating system, including Lubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander).

Besides the replacement of Chromium with the new Mozilla Firefox 22.0, there aren't too many differences from the previous version.

Sure enough, there is a new Linux kernel and the Artwork and Slide show haven't been updated. More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Download the Lubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) Linux distribution right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
