On December 5, Greg Kroah-Hartman announced the immediate availability for download of the twentieth maintenance release for the stable Linux 3.4 kernel series.

Linux kernel 3.4.22 LTS (long-term support) comes with some updated drivers, file system fixes and changes, and Arch improvements.

“I'm announcing the release of the 3.4.22 kernel. All users of the 3.4 kernel series must upgrade.”

“The updated 3.4.y git tree can be found at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.4.y and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary,” said Greg KH in the email announcement.

This Linux kernel release was made available because the previous version had a build error that some people had reported.

As usual, the Linux kernel 3.4.22 is a must-grab update for all Linux users who employ the Linux 3.4 kernel. Therefore, upgrade as soon as possible!
