The final version of the antiX 15 Linux operating system will be released very soon, but until then we can test the Beta 3 pre-release version that has been announced today, June 1, 2015.

antiX is a fast and lightweight distribution of GNU/Linux based on Debian Testing. The new Beta release of antiX 15 comes with a new default light look, replacing the dark mode, which can now be activated during boot by pressing the F6 key.

Another remarkable feature implemented in antiX 15 Beta 3 is the upgrade to Linux kernel 4.0, one of the most important releases of the Linux kernel, which brings live patching support and support for modern hardware components.

Among other new features, we can mention that antiX 15 Beta 3 comes with a simplified menu layout and a new menu editor, both of which have been contributed by SamK, fixes an issue with the timed wallpaper, and is built using devuan debootstrap.

A brand-new iso-snapshot application has been added, which is heavily based on the mx-snapshot tool, and more options have been implemented in the antiX control center.
