Ben Hutchings announced the immediate availability for download of Linux kernel 3.2.40 LTS.

Linux kernel 3.2.40 brings a lot of various fixes, as well as driver improvements, network fixes, not to mention support for various devices. Highlights of Linux kernel 3.2.40:

• Remove artificial restriction on RQDPC stat reading; • Huawei "ACM" devices have been added using protocol = vendor; • Avoid overflow when programming clock comparator; • Device IDs have been added for Intel Lynx Point-LP PCH.

“This is the start of the stable review cycle for the 3.2.40 release. There are 153 patches in this series, which will be posted as responses to this one,” said Ben Hutchings in the email announcement.
