Greg Kroah-Hartman has just announced a few minutes ago, December 8, that the fourth maintenance release of the Linux kernel 3.12 is now available for download.

Considering the fact that the third maintenance release for Linux 3.12 kernel branch was launched only four days ago, Linux kernel 3.12.4 is quite a big release that brings many updated drivers (HID, ISDN, Radeon, Ethernet, Wireless), several IPv4 and IPv6 fixes, as well as multiple networking improvements.

"I'm announcing the release of the 3.12.4 kernel. All users of the 3.12 kernel series must upgrade. The updated 3.12.y git tree can be found at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.12.y and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary," Greg Kroah-Hartman said in the official release announcement.

Download Linux kernel 3.12.4 right now from Softpedia. We remind everyone that Linux kernels 3.4.73 LTS and 3.10.23 LTS are also available for download on Softpedia.
