Linux Kernel 3.0.100 Released, End of Life to Arrive Soon

One of the final versions in this branch has been released

Greg Kroah-Hartman has announced the immediate availability for download of yet another version of the Linux kernel, 3.0.100 LTS (long-term support).

Even the guys from have advised the users to upgrade as soon as possible to a more recent version.

“The Linux 3.0.100 kernel is now released. Due to the nice round number, it gets a special release note all to itself. But really, you shouldn't feel good about still using this kernel version, it's quite old, and will be end-of-life in a week,” reads the post on Google+.

More details about the changes in this branch of the kernel can be found in the official announcement. Download Linux Kernel 3.0.100 LTS right now from Softpedia.
