The Document Foundation has announced that the first Release Candidate version for LibreOffice 4.1.1 is now available for the Linux platform, bringing a lot of bug fixes and improvements.
According to The Document Foundation, starting with version 4.0.0, the LibreOffice installer files have a new naming scheme.
Highlights of LibreOffice 4.1.1 RC1:
• The slide no longer appears garbled when imported from PPTX files; • Initial MCE support has been added in the writerfilter ooxml tokenizer; • The table of illustration now has hyperlinks by default like a TOC; • A blank page is no longer inserted at the end of all RTF documents.
