The Document Foundation has announced that the first stable version for LibreOffice 4.0.5 is now available on all platforms, including Linux, bringing a lot of bug fixes and improvements.

After just a couple of Release Candidates, the final version of the 4.0.5 branch of LibreOffice has arrived and it's ready for download.

“LibreOffice 4.0.5 fixes more than 90 bugs, many of them in the area of interoperability with proprietary document formats and operating systems. Thanks to the work of our QA volunteers, LibreOffice 4.0.5 also solves a number of regressions from earlier releases,” reads the official announcement.
