The Document Foundation has announced the LibreOffice 3.6 Bug Hunting Party, an event meant to improve the quality of the LibreOffice office suite.

The Document Foundation is organizing this “party” event in a virtual environment between July 6 and 7, 2012. Volunteers will try to find problems with the office suite that will hopefully get corrected by the time of the next release.

Details about everything you need to know to attend the event can be found on the official wiki page.

Anyone with a PC and LibreOffice 3.6 Beta 2 (or Beta 3, which is yet to be launched) installed can join. According to the organizers, checking and possibly categorizing already submitted bugs also is a popular and interesting activity.

Download LibreOffice 3.6 Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
