The Document Foundation has announced last evening, July 29th, that the fourth and final Release Candidate version of the upcoming LibreOffice 3.6 office suite is available for download and testing.

While LibreOffice 3.6.0 RC3 was never released, the LibreOffice 3.6.0 RC4 is here to fix only two bugs on top of the third Release Candidate version, which fixes exactly 20 issues found in the second RC release. A detailed changelog can be found here.

The stable release of LibreOffice 3.6 will see the light of day at the end of this week, most probably on August 2nd, 2012.

Download LibreOffice 3.6.0 RC4 sources, as well as Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat, Fedora, OpenSuSE, Mandriva binary packages right now from Softpedia. Also, visit our brand-new LibreOffice Extensions section.

Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
