Have you ever wanted a watch running Linux? If the answer is yes, then you might want to know that the guys from Leikr have made this a real possibility.

The Leikr Linux watch sports some very impressive features, besides the operating system and the hardware.

It's the first to feature onboard maps powered by the OpenStreetMap, a personal coach function through which you will be able to select your workouts on the Leikr portal, and you can even transfer your training to Endomondo to analyze your performance and share your results with your friends.

The watch also benefits from wireless synchronization, an ergonomic casing, GPS technology, Gorilla Glass, and an ingenious locking system.

The hardware specs are also impressive: 500MHz Arm Cortex A8 processor, 2” TFT color 320×240 pixel 65K color with 11% reflectance, 8 GB of storage, BlueTooth 3.0, WIFI 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, BT Pulse-belt, and Leikr custom software on Linux OS.

There are no details regarding the price or time of the launch.
