Legacy OS 2 Gamer, a distribution based on Puppy Linux that is aimed at very old PCs, is now at version 2.1.

The developers has made great efforts in incorporating applications that still work on very old hardware, such as Pentium III.

Highlights of Legacy OS 2 Gamer 2.1:

• Opera 12 Web Browser with Flash has been included; • Amarok Music Player has been added; • Classic games, such as Doom, have been integrated.

“Legacy OS 2.1 Gamer is for PCs built from 2000 to 2006. While most of these PCs will run Legacy OS, due to the large number of variances in hardware specifications, not all will be supported.”

The distribution is rather small and fits on a single CD. A complete list of features can be found in the official announcement.
