Left 4 Dead 2 has been released by Valve, along with Portal, on Steam for Linux and the Linux users have received a few extra maps.

Left 4 Dead 2 is an FPS zombie-killing cooperative game developed by Valve with millions of fans all over the world.

Highlights of the latest Left 4 Dead 2 patch:

• Server operators can now specify whether or not custom content is allowed; • The main menu is now refreshing after the workshop add-ons have been loaded; • The add-on management has been reworked to improve stability and properly support custom mutations; • New community campaigns have been implemented, including Diescraper Redux, Urban Flight, Back to School, and City 17.
