Left 4 Dead 2, a survival cooperative FPS developed by Valve, has finally exited Beta and landed among the rest of the games from the Steam developer.

Valve has promised that it will port all the games in its portfolio for the Linux platform, and they've done a pretty good job so far.

Left 4 Dead 2 has been a tricky project and it has remained in the Beta stages for a long time. Users have started to wonder if it was ever going to be released without the Beta tag.

Valve has done exactly that, and Left 4 Dead 2 is now officially a Linux game, although we all have been playing it for months without any problems.

The company still has to port a couple of important titles, namely Portal 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offesive, but they should be out soon, at least as Beta versions.
