On April 12, the Antergos development team, through Dustin Falgout, announced the immediate availability for download of an updated installation media for their Antergos Linux distribution based on the upstream Arch Linux operating system and featuring the latest GNOME 3.16 desktop environment.

Highlights of the new Antergos Live CD include a fully working GNOME 3.16 desktop environment and an updated installer, Cnchi 0.8.0, which was released on the same day as the new ISO images. The Minimal Install images have been updated as well.

"We've updated our Installation Media to include all of the latest packages available in the Arch Repos," says Dustin Falgout. "Our Live Install Image includes a fully working GNOME 3.16 environment that you can use before making any changes to your system."

While the Antergos Live CD will allow users to test the GNOME 3.16 desktop environment before attempting installing the Arch Linux-based distribution, the Antergos Minimal Install ISOs contain only the Cnchi installer and some basic packages that will help you install the operating system.

Download the latest Antergos 2015.04.12 Live CD ISO images right now from Softpedia. More details about the Antergos operating system, as well as torrent links, can be found on the official website of the project.
