Rogue Legacy, a genealogical rogue 2D adventure title developed and published by Cellar Door Games, is available on Steam for Linux with a huge 80% discount.

Players will die a lot in Rogue Legacy, but this is genealogical rogue-like game, which means that gamers will return to the adventure as the son of the hero and carry on from there.

"Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might have vertigo-- they could even be a dwarf. That's OK, because no one is perfect, and you don't have to be perfect to win this game. But you do have to be pretty darn good because this game is HARD. Fortunately, every time you die all the gold you've collected can be used to upgrade you manor, giving your next child a step up in life and another chance at vanquishing evil," reads the Steam website.

The system requirements for the game are quite low and the devs don't even specify a certain Linux operating system. Users will need to have an OS with glibc 2.15+, a dual-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, OpenGL 3.0+ support, and 400 MB of HDD space.

The promotion for Rogue Legacy lasts for about two days, so you'll need to hurry up.
