Canonical unleashed today, April 26th, the highly anticipated Precise Pangolin upgrade of its popular Ubuntu operating system, including the Kubuntu 12.04, Xubuntu 12.04 and Lubuntu 12.04 flavors.
Kubuntu 12.04 is an LTS (Long Term Support) release, which means it will be supported for five years.
Dubbed Precise Pangolin, Kubuntu 12.04 LTS is powered by Linux kernel 3.2 and it is distributed as Live CD ISO images (Alternative and Desktop editions) and Live DVD ISO images, for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
The KDE 4.8 based distribution based on Ubuntu 12.04 also comes with a preinstalled image for the armhf and omap4 architectures, and the Kubuntu Active flavor for tables.
