Knoppix, a bootable Live CD/DVD, made up from the most popular and useful free and open source applications, backed up by an automatic hardware detection and support for many video cards, SCSI and USB devices, is now at version 7.0.5.

As usual, new iterations of Knoppix come with a generous list of changes and new features, and the 7.0.5 version is no different.

Highlights of Knoppix 7.0.5:

• The distribution is based on Debian stable (squeeze) and newer Desktop packages from Debian/testing and Debian/unstable (wheezy); • LibreOffice has been updated to version 3.6.4; • LXDE (Default) with filemanager PCMANFM 1.0 has been implemented • KDE SC has been updated to version 4.8; • Virtualbox has been updated to version 4.1.18; • Gnome has been updated to version 3.4.
