Kid3 audio tag editor, a tool that can be used to edit the tags of MP3, Ogg, FLAC, MPC & WMA files in an efficient way, convert between ID3v1 and ID3v2, set the tags of multiple files, generate tags from file names or vice versa and import from freedb, MusicBrainz and Disco, is now at version 3.1.1

Kid3 Tag Editor comes with a huge number of features and it's capable of converting between ID3v1.1, ID3v2.3 and ID3v2.4 tags, edit tags for multiple files at a time, generate tags from filenames, automatically convert upper and lower case and replace strings, and export tags as CSV, HTML, playlists, Kover XML and other formats.

According to the changelog, validation has been added for date/time, track and disc number frames, a timeout command has been implemented in kid3-cli to overwrite the command timeout, the option WITH_NO_MANCOMPRESS has been added to disable gzipped manpages, and the drag'n'drop support from HTTPS and FTP has been improved.

Also, the application now shows the picture type in frame table, importing from file/clipboard with empty date fields is now possible, AppData and comments are now added in the desktop file for GNOME Software, and the handling of RPATH has been improved.
