Kerbal Space Program, a strange simulator developed and published on Steam for Linux by the Squad studio, is now available with a 40% discount.

Kerbal Space Program combines multiple genres into one game in which the players have to create their own space project and make a successful launch. Users will have to get involved in the micromanagement of the space program and even help build the shuttles and everything else.

“The game is being built first as an open sandbox, you're free to build anything you can think of, and fly it wherever you want, even into orbit and out to other planets and moons throughout the Kerbal Solar System. The first draft of the career mode is also available now, it is still in development, so expect more features!” reads the official website.

Surprisingly enough, the title is still in the Early Access Game program, which means that it's under development and, if we judge by the version number, it will take a while to get everything sorted.

Even so, Kerbal Space Program has registered great success and it was the best-selling game on Steam for Linux on a number of occasions. You can check the official Steam website for more details about the game.

The promotion is set to expire on May 9.
