KRUNCH, a 2D quick-reflex game developed and published by LeGrudge & Rugged on Steam, will be getting a Linux version soon, if we are to believe the mention in the Steam Database.

The KRUNCH game has been around for quite some time on the Windows and Mac OS X platforms and it was initially launched back in December 2012.

According to the developers, this is a game about escaping, survival, and the fear of being closed-in. You take the role of one of six Krons (mechanical orb-like entities) trapped in an abandoned fortress and you have only one goal, to get out.

“Escape more than 100 claustrophobic levels spread across 4 zones, survive 3 challenging boss chases, conquer one frantic race to freedom! KRUNCH demands concentration, delivers fast gameplay and will test fans of games such as Mega Man, Super Meat Boy and VVVVVV,” reads the official synopsis.

The information about the Linux version is taken from the Steam database and by no means is it completely certain. The Steam Database is a record of data that describes every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service.

Usually, the new entries are first visible in the Steam Database before their official launch.
