KDE Software Compilation 4.8 will contain features such as Qt Quick in Plasma Workspaces, an updated device notifier widget written in QML, a QML-based KWin window switcher, improved file view of Dolphin including a more attractive visual appearance, as well as lots of general performance improvements and assorted bugfixes.
"With API, dependency and feature freezes in place, the KDE team's focus is now on fixing bugs and further polishing new and old functionality." - was stated in the official announcement.
