The development team of the KDE Project have unleashed earlier today, April 4th, the second maintenance release for the KDE Software Compilation 4.8 environment.

There's no official announced at the moment, but we've dug up the raw changelog (as usual) and it looks like the KDE Software Compilation 4.8.2 contains some very nice improvements and fixes for apps like Okular, Dolphin, KGpg, and KWin.

KDE Software Compilation 4.8.2 will be a pleasant and safe update for all users. Click here to view the complete changelog of KDE SC 4.8.2.

Kubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) will include the KDE Software Compilation 4.8.2 environment when it will be released, on April 26th.

Until then, download KDE Software Compilation 4.8.2 sources right now from Softpedia. Gentoo Linux and OpenSuSE 12.1 users already have KDE SC 4.8.2 in their software repositories.
