Plasma, the desktop for the KDE project, has been updated and is now at version 5.2.1. This is a maintenance update and it comes with quite a few changes and improvements.

Plasma is the desktop part of the KDE project and is the most visible component. All changes made to Plasma are immediately noticeable and the developers still have quite a few fixes to make. This is part of their monthly update, but this latest iteration is more than what we are used to see.

"Today KDE releases a bugfix update to Plasma 5, versioned 5.2.1. Plasma 5.2 was released in January with many feature refinements and new modules to complete the desktop experience. This release adds a month's worth of new translations and fixes from KDE's contributors," is noted in the official announcement.

The developers have explained that the screen or the suspend function no longer kicks in when watching videos in a web browser, Powerdevil no longer uses all the CPU, a crash that occurred when switching to/from Breeze widget style has been fixed, the Plasma Desktop has improved the rubber band feel and consistency with Dolphin, and more fixes have been added.
