KDE Software Compilation has just been updated to version 4.9.5, but the developers have decided to introduce another Release Candidate for the 4.10 branch and delay the final version for a couple of weeks.

Some small changes have prompted the developers to propose yet another release candidate for the 4.10 branch. This means that the final version will be available on February 6.

“To accomodate for a few last minute changes we have decided to create an RC3, this pushes back the final release for about 2 weeks. If you have to update program version numbers, library abi numbers, bugzilla program version numbers or stuff like that, please do it as soon as possible,” stated Albert Astals Cid, one of the KDE developers.

KDE 4.10 RC2 will enter development freeze today and no further new features will be added to the package.
