Samhain, a host-based intrusion detection system (HIDS) which provides file integrity checking and log file monitoring/analysis, as well as rootkit detection, port monitoring, detection of rogue SUID executables, and hidden processes, is now at version 3.0.9.

Samhain 3.0.9 was designed to monitor multiple hosts with potentially different operating systems, providing centralized logging and maintenance.

Highlights of Samhain 3.0.9:

• Some build errors have been fixed;
• The 'probe' command for the server (clients could be erroneously omitted under certain conditions) is now working properly;
• Full scans requested by the inotify module will now only run at times configured for regular full scans

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the application's changelog. More details about this project can be found on the official website.
