The Ubuntu Movie Lens is a Unity plugin that enables users to easily and quickly search movie information, directly from Unity Dash, via themoviedb.

The users will be able to view detailed information about movies, actors, and view a trailer. The results are opened in the default web browser, via the themoviedb.com website. It can also search adult movies.

To install the Unity Movie Lens plugin in your Ubuntu operating system, open a terminal window (hit the CTRL+ALT+T key combination) and paste the following commands (one by one, hitting Enter after each one):

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/lenses
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y install unity-lens-movie

You will need to restart your session after the installation. This Lens is available only for the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) and Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) operating systems.
