We are proud to announce today, September 3rd, the immediate availability for download and testing of the Alpha release of the upcoming Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 operating system.

As we've announced last week, the Ubuntu Gnome Community and Jeremy Bicha were ready to launch the first development release of Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10, an Ubuntu-based operating system powered by the GNOME desktop environment.

The distro features GNOME 3.6 Beta, Epiphany web browser, AbiWord word processor, GNOME Boxes for your virtual machines needs, GNOME Package Kit (Software) for installing and updating apps, Ubuntu One installer, GNOME Classic and GNOME Shell user interfaces, the latter being the default one.

Download Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 Alpha right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is an alpha version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
