Michael Tremer, developer for the ipfire.org team, has announced IPFire 2.11 Core 65, a new stable release of the popular Linux-based firewall distribution.

Unlike previous versions of IPFire, which brought substantial changes, this latest release, IPFire 2.11 Core 65, only brings a few fixes and new features.

Highlights of IPFire 2.11 Core 65:

• A graphical interface that can be used to configure OpenVPN roadwarrior clients individually has been implemented; • OpenVPN path MTU discovery is now available and will increase the performance of the VPN connections by choosing the perfect MTU value; • Static routes can now be added when they are noted in the subnet mask format like 10.0.0.0/255.0.0.0; • The data archives of vnstat and collected are now included in the backup.
