The multiplayer part of Half-Life 2, one of the most successful online titles in the past 10 years, has been released on Steam for Linux.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch is not your average multiplayer game and Valve realized this right from the beginning. This is why it can be purchased separately on Steam for Linux, without its base game, Half-Life 2.

The multiplayer part of Half-Life 2 is one of the most popular online games and it has maintained a strong player base, even if it was launched back in 2007.

The players can choose one of the two teams, Combine or Resistance, and just start throwing toilets at the enemy. Because it’s based on Half-Life 2 it makes use of the excellent physics engine.

If you don’t have the game you can purchase it from the official Steam website.
