Grml, a bootable live system (Live-CD) based on Debian which includes a collection of GNU/Linux apps designed for system administrators, is now at version 2011.12.

After only a couple of weeks from the last release candidate, the developers of  the Grml Linux distribution have launched a stable version, 2011.12.

The most important update in Grml 2011.12 is the inclusion of the Linux kernel 3.1.6. A new  GRUB boot theme was also implemented, with a reworked GRUB config file handling

New keybindings for Fluxbox, fixed a keyboard layout bug, and enabled all mixer controls at startup, setting the default volume at 75%, are also part of the new release.

Grml  2011.12 is available for 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, but there is a third options which incorporates both of them. A complete list of updates and fixes is available on the official website.
