Google Chrome, a browser built on the Blink layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 31.0.1650.34 Beta.

The new Google Chrome Beta comes as a surprise, after the developers chose to release a stable version only for the Linux platform due to an installation bug.

According to the announcement, a crash that occurred when all visits were from the future (a problem with visit dates for favicons) has been corrected, a disable-popup-blocking command line option has been added in Java, and other minor fixes have been implemented.

A complete list of bug fixes and changes can be found in the official changelog.
