GhostBSD 3.5 RC1, a FreeBSD-based operating system that relies on Xfce desktop environments, is now ready for testing.

GhostBSD 3.5 RC1 provides users and developers with a system to test out new features in the upcoming release.

First of all, the FreeBSD layer has been updated from RC3 to RC4, which was to be expected. Secondly, the installer progress black window has been fixed, the Bxpkg package manager no longer fails to start, and a new GDM login theme is now used.

“Please be aware this release provides users, beta testers and developers with a system to test out new features in the upcoming release. RC1 may contain buggy code and features, so we encourage you to run it only on non-critical systems,” states the announcement.

Check out the official announcement for a complete list of changes and new features. Download GhostBSD 3.5 RC1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
